Cotehele Quay Gig Clubâs Tamar Challenge 2022 proved a huge success with more than 20 clubs completing a nine-mile race along the River Tamar.

Success for the Ladies at County Champs at Newquay
This event bought a close to the main season of racing for the Ladies with two crews entering the Newquay county championships. The Ladies B crew putting in a sterling effort on day 1 competing in round 1 & 2. This crew consisting of some novice members getting their first taste of a major event and has definitely lit the fire for them to continue.
The Ladies A had a successful campaign with a 2nd place in the first round taking them straight through to the quarter finals on Sunday.

Success At Caradon Mixed Championships
The club descended on the Green at Saltash for the Mixed Championships yesterday with a crew fielded in the Open, Vets and Super Vets categories. The Club invested. in a new wooden gig, made by Patrick Bird (sonof Ralph).  After a club-wide vote, the new gig is named Govenek.
