Success for the Ladies at County Champs at Newquay

This event bought a close to the main season of racing for the Ladies with two crews entering the Newquay county championships. The Ladies B crew putting in a sterling effort on day 1 competing in round 1 & 2. This crew consisting of some novice members getting their first taste of a major event and has definitely lit the fire for them to continue.
The Ladies A had a successful campaign with a 2nd place in the first round taking them straight through to the quarter finals on Sunday. They continued their success in the QF with a 3rd place finish securing a place in the semi finals. The crew were thrilled to get through to the semi finals and justifies the training that has been put in over the year. Thankyou to all those that came down during the weekend to support and cheer the crews on. Thanks to Dave Bolton our gig captain for towing Zeus and the oars back and forth. Thanks to our coxs Sam and Karen for their dedication and commitment over the summer.
Congratulations to Fowey and all those crews making it into the final. We all strive every season to get better and the level of athleticism, commitment, passion and competition from ALL the clubs is inspirational.
